Week 100 and 101 (Last E-mail)

Next monday we are going to be on a 12 hour boat ride to Puerto Montt, so this will most likely be my last email!

In these last 4 weeks we have done more than 600 contacts, (talked with more than 600 people). We weren´t really seeing results at first, but finally, in these past 2 weeks! we have found 11 new people to teach here in chaiten. They´re super awesome people.

Jovino and Nilda, who were super interested in the Book of Mormon. Before we could even offer them a copy, they asked us for one.

Cristian and Christofer. 21 and 12 years old brothers who both have a mormon friend who is a missionary. when we knocked their door they happily invited us in!

Guillermo, Luisa, Guillermo, and Maite, a family of 4. They have actually shared with the missionary´s a couple years ago, and they were very excited to see us again.

Mari, Bruno and Marilla. We found them when we offered to help them cut their wood. They invited us in and we shared a video and they said we could pass by whenever we wanted too. They´re really humble and ready to learn. They don´t know much about any religion and have tons of questions.

I won´t be here to teach all of them, but my companion is really excited about that!

I have learned so much being a missionary of Jesus Christ and even though it´s not always been easy, it´s been worth it. This Quote from Thomas S monson has been the theme of my mission.

¨The principles of living greatly include the capacity to face trouble with courage, disappointment with cheerfulness, and trial with humility.¨ -Thomas S Monson

See you all soon!

Week 98 and 99

This week was great! i don´t have much time to write, but here´s a picture of what someone here tried to feed us... hahah it was crazy but to make a long story short, we didn´t have to eat it and we were super relieved.

This was sitting on the table at our Mammitas house!
She had to cut it in half to fit it in the pot.
