Week 83

Well i didn`t last very long in this sector! haha i am already leaving to another sector nearby, named pichi pelluco, and my new companion is going to be elder german! he is someone i knew at the beginning of the mission so it will be awesome. We are going to be the zone leaders so that will be an adventure.
On saturday we found a superr cool person. She said she was waiting for us to pass by because she wanted us to tell her what church she was supposed to go to. She was investigating the church before, but she moved. When she saw us she was super excited, she came to a ward baptism 2 horus later, and came to church also. She´ll get baptized for sure in like 2 weeks.
i have to do a ton of stuff today for the zone leader thing so i will write more next week about the new sector and everything. later!

Week 82

We went to go do exchanges with elders in our district from chaiten. We traveled 7 hours in boat and 4 hours in bus to get there! We traveled a total of 22 horus there and back. The trip was pretty awesome. We were able to see a couple dolphins as well.
An AWESOME thing that happended is that we ran into a group of 10 girls from the states that were doing study abroad in chile, and turns out that one of them was from maple valley! i didn´t know her, but it was still pretty cool to run into someone from the states, let alone someone that lives right next to me.
In chaiten, we did an activity of how to make french toast, and 15 non members went. It was pretty awesome.
i`m going to send a bunch of pictures right now, so i won`t have much time to write, but pictures are better anyways!
Also, thanks a ton to the family stafford! I got a package from them yesterday for christmas and it was super cool. Thanks!

Week 80 and 81

Christmas and New years! We spent both days with the members and they were super nice to us. They invited us to their family dinner and everything. They were both barbeques. For new years, we went to the house of the other missionaries, and we were able to see the fireworks from their apartment! It was a good firework show, just like in the states, and it was pretty fun to watch.
We also got to talk with our families for skype, which was awesome!
This week, we had the baptism of Maximiliano and Sofia. They are the kids of less active members who have been getting reactivated in the church and are now able to baptize their kids because they`re active now. They are 9 and 11 years old.
No one in the whole ward of 140 active members can play piano, so i`ve been the pianist these past weeks for the baptism, for the christmas party, and sundays. I can only play the right hand, because i mess up too much playing with both hands, but the members are happy that there is finally a pianist in the ward, because they haven`t had an elder who could play the piano for like 2 years!
We are teaching a lot of people here, so that`s pretty cool. I think we`ll have a couple more baptisms in 3 or 4 weeks here because the ward helps a lot and the people are great.
thanks for everything!
